How do I order online?
Placing an order online is a simple 3 step process:
- Finding an item
- Gather items in the Shopping Cart
- Place order
1. You can use the simple search box on the homepage to find items, alternatively, you can browse through the pages on the website to find featured items.
2. When you find an item you wish to purchase, click on the button/text link called "Add to Cart". You will then be transferred to a screen that details all the items you have added to your cart in your shopping session. You can continue to visit pages and search for more items to purchase - your shopping cart will retain its items unless you remove them or your computer session has timed-out due to inactivity.
3. When you have gathered the items you wish to purchase into your shopping cart you should then choose a Shipping method on the Shopping Cart page. There are two options - choose the option that decribes the delivery location of your order.
When you are confident that the shopping cart accurately represents what you want to order, press the "Proceed to Payment" button to move on from the Shopping Cart.
When you have finished typing in your details, press the "Place Order" button to submit your order to MEA Books. You will be presented with a confirmation page that displays your unique order reference number. It is recommended that you print this page in case you would like to refer to your order at a later date.
Can I order out of stock items?
Yes. Our list of business titles is extensive. However, not all books are carried in stock. When available we can order the book especially for you.
If you found the item in our online catalogue, you can proceed through the normal ordering phases to place your order and we will contact you about the item's availability.
If you are unable to find the item you are looking for in our online catalogue, simply complete our online book request form.
How do I know if my order online has been received?
After completing the Payment and Delivery Details form by clicking on the "Place Order" button you will be presented with a Order Confirmation. The order confirmation includes a order reference number (eg. "MEA123456789". Reaching this page confirms that your order has been received by our system.
If we require more details from you to complete or clarify your order we will contact you by telephone or email using the details that you provide.
At any time you can clarify that your order has been received by sending an email to meabooks@mea.org.au.
Can I cancel my order?
Whilst we cannot guarantee order cancellation, once you have placed your order, please notify us immediately via email and we will endeavour to assist you.
We are unable to cancel your order once you have received our confirmation email. Please see Terms and Conditions for more information.
How do I know if my credit card ordering details will be secure?
Be assured that we keep all personal information submitted to us in the strictest confidence and is stored on a secure server. Please see our Terms and Conditions for privacy and security information.
Are my contact details kept private?
MEA Books is powered by Management Books, part of the Australian Institute of Management - Qld & NT. AIM is bound by, and committed to supporting, the National Privacy Principles (NPPs) set out in the Privacy Amendment (Private Sector) Act 2000. The aim of AIM is both to support and to ensure that it complies with the NPPs that form the basis of laws introduced to strengthen privacy protection for the general public.
Can you send my order to a PO Box?
Your order can be delivered to a post office box within Australia through Australia Post only.
Do you deliver to Australian addresses?
Yes. Make sure that you select the Australia postage option in your shopping cart before placing your order.
Can you ship orders worldwide?
MEA Books ships internationally to most countries (some exclusions apply). Please refer to our Terms and Conditions or email us.
Why is there additional cost for shipping for DVDs, Videos and National Salary Surveys?
DVDs, Videos and National Salary Surveys are couriered or specially delivered to you. This delivery service is more secure and ensures that your purchases arrive safely.
The standard shipping rate that appears for books in your shopping cart while ordering online does not apply.
After you have placed your order online, we will confirm full details of your order and shipping rate via a Confirmation of Order form.

When will my goods be delivered?
Goods in stock will generally be despatched 1 to 2 working days after receipt of order, and sent via Australia Post. Delays may occur if the item is out of stock. A representative from MEA Books will contact you will information about any delays.
What payment methods are accepted?
Please see the accepted payment methods listed in our Terms and Conditions.
When will my payment be processed?
When the items you have ordered are in stock your payment will be processed within two working days after receipt of order.
Should all or part of the order include out of stock, firm sale or non-returnable items we will notify you of availability status within two working days after receipt of order. Please contact us if you have any further queries or refer to our Terms and Conditions for more information.
What is GST? Does it apply to me?
Goods and Services Tax (GST) is an Australian Government Tax, which was introduced in the year 2000. This only applies to Australian consumers and is applied at a rate of 10%. For more information please see Terms and Conditions.
When will I receive my Tax Invoice for my order?
Your tax invoice will be sent with your order at time of dispatch once payment has been approved.
What is your Return/Exchange/Refund Policy?
MEA Books compiles with the Australian Trade Practices Act and fair trading legislation. Please see our Terms and Conditions for our Refund policy.
